i want to slam
Probably cut the springs its hard to find springs for older vehicles we had to cut springs on my friends nova and put shorter leafs in the back. to lower it.
Since the '86 is a torsion bar car on the front, you are going to have limited options. You will need to buy biigger diameter torsion bars then reindex then and adjust them. You can lower the nose of the car some right now by just turning your torsion bar adjusters. Be very carefull as these cars do not handle well when lowered a great deal unless you get specifically short body front struts and you will most likely need to change to camber plates up front that normally go inside the engine bay and not under the fender well. Inside the engine bay camber plats then means that you will need custom struts also with shortened upper mounting pins or otherwise you will poke holes in your hood with the strut tops. The rear is not that big an issue, it is the front that you will have the issues with. These cars are nothing like the '88+ Hondas for lowering. Check out redpepperracing.com for info specific to your torsion bar car. Lowering these cars is fine with the right parts and process but slamming them doesn['t work without massive investments in time and money.
yea i know its a pain in the rear. and i also know when i lower it with the stock torsion bars, the ride comfortability is comprimised. tons more bouncy and bottom out lot easier. so a race torsion bar would do. and some custom stuff yadadda yea screw it i dont feel like wasting my cash. looks good already

But there are others already that have had this done although most are true racecars. The one that I know specifically was really well done and cost a ton of money.
You can lower the ride height a little just fine with the stock torsion bars or find a used set of 24mm torsion bars. Stock are 19mm and most racers are now using 28s and 30s so some smaller streetable used ones can probably be found if you keep looking.
