gt42 f22 accord
kind of a weird customer, wants to make "as much power as possible from the f22"
either way, sleeved block, all the internals etc. the motor in the pic is a mockup. id rather put a gt40 or 35 but this is what i had to put. exhaust is going through the frame rail out the side in front of the wheel "customer" wanted that too. its gonna either get twin tial 44's or twin turbosmart 38's or one divided turbosmart 48. the wastegate setup will run off the front og the manifold in front of the exhaust housing. ill post picks when its done

i still have to weld more inside the collector, and the backside of the head flange

DAMN... Great to see some f22 fab work. Awesome welds and mani. Wish I had that mani option for my setup.
There has to be some INSANE head work for it to flow enough to power the f22 but anyways mad love for f22. Had mine and loved it

the flange warped pretty bad but it should pull straight after a few heat cycles and retorqueing. sucks, all i could find was a 3/8" flange

Nice looking manifold, I like the design. Good to see some f series love, we are outcasts.
Looks to be a 4th gen. accord chassis with f22a, if I am correct? Planning on going halfsize radiator it looks like?
I kinda agree with you that a 35r or a 40r would be better suited to that motor but I guess it all depends the owners wishes and on the rpm he is planning to turn. The 42r will be extremely peaky unless he does the head, cams it, and rev's it out a bit more than the 6500 those our motors turn originally. We have the displacement but not the rpm for a better powerband, although if still an accord trans it has alot of gear to make use of.
Very interesting, great work + f series=

its going to be scary to rev this motor as high as it needs to go to make the turbo usefull. these motors arent really known for there balancing. we will see, its definately a first for me

sick fab cant wait to see it finished....
but i believe you said exhaust through the frame rail? wtf? how is that going to be possible with the motor torquing back and forth? and why not just go under the frame rail....a 3 or 4" diameter hole sure can't be good for the integrity of it lol
