Tokico and H&R Race
hello,
i recently had tokico illuminas and H&R race springs installed on my 2000 civic ex.
so far, i am not very impressed with them. my car is bouncy even if i play around with the settings (1-5).
i am not certain if the shop put the stock bump stops on the front shocks. if they didn't, would this have a big impact on the ride quality?
i expected the ride to be far better than it is. do any of you guys have this problem?
any idea what could be causing this?

Weird I'm going to be putting this same setup on my car when I get the Illuminas in the next couple of days. I already have H&R race springs on stock shocks and it rides really good for just the springs. I love H&R, really good.
Look up and search, I have only heard wonderful things about this setup. That's why I purchased the Illuminas over the KYB's.
Tyson is a good rep for this combo. I believe, he has state it as being one of the best setups before going coilover.
Weird....
Maybe he will peak in here.
up for a answer.

look at this DIY....check out step 14, look to see if the bump stop is cut in half and see if the metal o-ring/washer is there. with out 1 or the other your car will pretty much ride like ****.

actually i just tout illuminas and PRO KIT. i dont recommend any more of a drop personally.
but, quite frankly, when i FIRST installed my very first lowering spring, pro kits, i thought, "man, this is really STIFF, i dont know if i like this...." well, it should be.... it IS stiffer. but i got used to it and it was all good.
maybe this guy is just feeling that initial shock.
or he could just not have enough shock travel... without proper travel, the quality of the shock is out of the equation.
you should have cut the bumpstops.

im confused..
so the bumpstop is suppose to be cut in half?
on the H&R instructions is says not to shorten them.
it says the car will be even lower if i do..
