Default Turbo

I have a 97 Honda Accord Se. I had a F22b2 and now have a F22b6 LONG STORY .
I was wondering will a Turbo work well with a F22b6 4 speed auto?

It will pump more air into the engine, yes.

depends on how much hp you want to make. keep it around 200 whp and throw a big tranny cooler on there, eh, you should be ok. Anything more is asking for a toasted tranny.

If you want to go faster, and want to stay auto, go for an H22.

turbo+automatic will work fine. won't be as fun, but it would work.

not always. the autos have a MAX hp rating of around 250 before they just tear apart.

also tuning an automatic car is a great deal harder......and auto trannys in hondas are far from strong even with a cooler....

The motor should be fine. As everyone else has already pointed out the tranny is your weak spot, and If u havent heard this yet im sure u will soon if u seriously persue this but "Your car is only as strong as ur weakest link," and the automatic tranny = BIG ol weak link in your plans especially if u wanna put down some serious power.

I was also thinking that a 50 shot of nitrious on that motor be fun too...lots of auto accord owners do this also and have minor problems......

the auto should be fine up to 220-230 whp. The v6 auto tranny is the same as the i4 tranny if i recall correctly.

good suggestion !! I too debated this option, prior boost I beleive i looked into the Zex kit and it was only functional if it was armed and i hit WOT(someone can correct me if im wrng). Nitrous is great for those who dont want to mess with constant repairs of turbo, not to say nitrous wont break your motor but the best thing with nitrous is that its only working when u need/want it. Turbo abuses the motor everytime u hit it no matter what.

To many decisions in life! jst say screw it and spend all ur money on beer instead !!!! ha ha GL w whatever u choose

you are correct that the Zex kit has that...I forgot what its called and it only engages at WOT.....

I don't drink....better to spend all my money on my car

and it's not really a question of how much hp an auto tranny can hold but when will it take a ****

Nitrious for the cheap fun thing to do IMO
