sorry for not posting earlier and this specific question is so hard to search, we've all been searching which is why we havent posted a thread.

our customers car is a cad SIR (usdm SI) obd2 and the longblock is toast. will a obd1 longblock work if we got it from a japanese wrecker? everything else will be the same from the SIR/ Si. except the wreckers dont have any OBD2 b16's. only obd1. will it still work?

need help asap were going to the junk yard today to choose a block.

the only thing i have heard of having to change is the crank position switch from the obd2 motor to the obd1 motor
