I am a n00b...embrace me
n00b to the rex, that is. 2 friends and I just purchased an '88 Si CRX shell. We have a C1 longblock, damaged cylinder walls, pistons, etc. so we're rebuilding it and going for high 11s NA in Hybrid classes. Any general tips you guys may have on this car? I'm not too familiar with CRXs. We're looking into HASport's mount kit. I have a C1 in my '92 hatch so I'm somewhat familiar with hybrids.
i just ordered some HCP mounts, they use all four mounting points, extremely necessary, especially when dealing with a C1, that would try to torque it's way out of the engine bay. my friends that run hasport mounts are unhappy, their's keep sagging from the polyurethane bushings. i paid $475 for 4 mounts and an adjustable shift linkage, that's what i would suggest.
what trans are you guys going to run?
C1 block, new stock honda cast iron sleeve lining, eagle rods, JE pistons and B16 head
