H4 and 9006 headlight bulb difference.

Default H4 and 9006 headlight bulb difference.
As far as I was concerned the only difference in h4 and 9006 bulbs is the harness. The mounting ring is exactly the same right?

9006 bulbs are single filament bulbs rated @ 80 candle power. h4's are double filament bulbs rated @ 83 candle power on low and 138 on high. what are you plpanning on doing? slapping these in place of stock?

I am getting an HID kit that is 9006. I have JDM headlights though which are H4. I believe it will go in with no mods. Just checking around to see if anyone advised against it

they are definately different bases on the two bulbs h4 is much wider
