Here are some pics of the fire 10 miles away from my apartment 2 nights ago. Good news is it won't be getting here because of our fire lines, but Torrence and Lakewood (on the other side) may not be so lucky:





The particles on my lens were from the ash falling over Irvine .

prayers out to all families to be safe...condolences to all the priceless things that are lost in this....life is more valuable then things that have value...cars. jewelry, clothes etc...

 

Friend's parents lost their house, 8 car garage - bye bye ferrari and a few cars. My friend went to the house, called his parents since they were out of town/country, he asked if he wants him to move the cars out, parents said leave it all.. just took a few things and had to bounce, **** crept quick. Went back to the pad, saw frame of the cars, cams and misc engine pieces.

Oh, parents house was deep Poway - near LT's house.

Yeah guys/gals, Hope all you guys are safe and sound. Man this really sucks to have a fire this big and have destroyed so many home.

There is a new high school down here (couple years new) and some kids tried to light it on fire because they still had to go to school while the other districts didn't.

WTF.
