I would do a little research....I've never done a swap like that but I would venture to say both engines would require a fair amount of modifcation to fit.

I believe there is a forum dedicated to 3rd gen accords (3geez.com or something like that). I would check that out along with a search of the archives here at honda-tech.

Good luck.

First make sure they make mounts for the applications you want

to give you an example..... i raced my buddy with his 4dr gsr and an intake.... i have a 4dr full weight accord with the non vtec version of the h22 (f22b) ... his car is lighter then mine..... alot in terms of 4drs, and i pulled on him with no mercy so my motor (stock crank hp) is 160.... his is also 160, so looking at that you would think he would be faster cause hes lighter... but its the torque you gotta look at, hes sittin at probalby 115ish my cars at like 135... displacement = torque if you want to move your car faster, dont be stupid... use your head 1.8-2.2 the 22s got more hp and torque i dont see why its even a question, plus they fit right in no mods what so ever

lol

Murk it's the f'n 89 accord, it's smaller than a DB integra

you should read

*edit* to go further in depth

The H22 is an IDEAL swap for 90-02 accord 4 cylinders, due to the reasons you listed, the motor is practically a direct drop in.

I know because I own a 96 Accord with a H22

The 89 LX-i was the old body style , which surprise surprise has a much less curb weight than the 90+ as well as the fact that it is not the same shape engine bay/etc

The ideal swap for those is the B series which has been done multiple times. Of course you could cram a H22 in there but there's no reason to.

*edit 2*

christ your cockiness is just retarded i'm just rereading what all you wrote

murk em....if you paid attention you would see that his car is a 89 lxi...meaning the B series is the most common swap in that car......I reccomend to the Op to do as stated and go to 3geez.com and look there..there are lots of people who have done that swap wit hdetailed threads to boot!....as for anyone on here that I know of his name is..legendsaiyr or something like that...and he put a B18c1 in a 89 accord......I have heard of one accord in the 3rd gen style that had an H22 swapped in it and as far as I heard they never got it running.......k im done...or drive this car as a DD/beater and buy som, ething thats a little easier to mod..but hey to each his own..hope this helps
