Dyno tuning is better than street tuning. Cheaping out on the most important part of your build is not cool.

Agreed.
And yes, I'm certain there are tuners who will street tune for you without using a dyno, but why would you prefer that?
Ideally, you'd have the tune done on a dyno, and then fine-tuned on the street to resolve any driveability or partial throttle issues.

How could tuning on the street be worse then a tune on a dyno? Heres the story i have a h22ek and cromed out p28. I threw on a 70mm sk2 TB vs my stock and the tune is thrown off
the IACV is the CEL im sure. theres smoke when i idle and if i smash on it. im not currently driving it cause theres no point till i get it tuned either on the dyno or on the street.

for one thing there aren't too many long open roads in Socal..... at least not any that you will be able to make more than 2 passes on before cops come... depending on your location take it to Chris Whitfield Racing (upland)
or Eugene Prostreet Import (La Mirada)
they will hook you up with a great tune and then you can rip on it on the street and test it out!!! both places are cool people...... give them a call both are great tuners. you don't want to blow **** up before you can even rip on it!

Because even if the street tuner is using a wide-band O2, he then still has to rely primarily on the air/fuel ratio and his "butt dyno" to determine the settings. Tuning for a specific A/F across the board does not necessarily result in the most power, so having a dyno allows you to see exactly what effect the tuning is having on the power curve.

Just take it to Eugene @ Prosteet Import to dyno. dyno-tune it to get the best power band and so your motor will ran stronger.
