You obviously have never owned a supercharged 4 banger. I had half built a Corrado supercharged onto my SOHC ZC when I gave up and bought a B16 (bad decision). Was gonna run it off my AC belt lol.

Streetworks knows his blowers, read the thread he posted.

You DOHC boy need to back off. When the man wants a SOHC setup, stop telling him to go DOHC.

I've been there, both in vtec and not, and I still think my SOHC ZC was the best engine I ever had.

seriously listen to streetwerkz, he knows what's up with SC

and you can probably pick up a used SC for about the same money as a b series engine and tranny. then you have to buy mounts, computer, etc. Just stick with the ZC. It'll be fun

hey, for the dollar, hes better off dohc..... sorry but u know its true, plus none of ya said to watch out for the kid......

1st. its a zc = high compression

2nd = its a supercharger, needs low compression to work more eff.

3rd. its a sohc.... bendover and get ready to shell out some bucks for parts

Wrong, lol.

1. ZC is a 9.5:1 compression. Last time I checked, you B16 had 10:1, making it HIGHER then the ZC. D series NEVER had high compression.

2. I've seen SC on stock B16, prooving that statement wrong.

3. SOHC parts expensive? I priced out a full rebuild, honda parts, for under 800$, that was WITH new PM7 pistons and rings. And I priced out a cam, springs and retainers from http://www.exospeed.com for under 350$.

Geez, a high comp, high revving SOHC ZC for 1000$ that when tuned will lay down more then a B16, or a stock B16 for 1500$ not including the axles, ecu, moutns and all the other **** that goes with it....

Too stiffen the D mounts, 30$ inserts. B mounts, cheap ones, 150$.

what does that have to do with a supercharged setup? go away. get rid of that LS trans. <---how is that for unwanted suggestions?

ignorant!!!!

there are many many many people running 10.5-11.5:1 compression with supercharged setups here on honda-tech.

my old SOHC setup cost me LESS than $1,000 total. and that was with bling bling parts and multiple pulley setups and tunes. not to mention, it would have **** all over the setup you own.

I would run STOCK until the TUNER tells you to upgrade. Cheapest upgrade are OBD1 Prelude injectors (go obd1 ecu for tuning) which flow ~330CC over the stock 240cc (same as ALL B and D series engines, yes, even the Type R has 240cc). Then you could upgrade to RDX injectors. With clips and injectors they are about 60$ from OEM and flow ~410cc. Your tuner will tell you how much your injectors are over working. He can also recommend a set of injectors.
