Default How to tell if cam gear or cam are tweaked? Trashed shipment.... :( w/pics

I got a d16z6 head and intake for a mini-me project. Came in utterly beat to ****... I took nothing out of the box, you see it, as it got here. No packing removed.

Guy put a NEW cold air intake in the box (not a mark on it), loose, with the head and the unbolted manifold, with no packing material in a box double the necessary size, and everything in the box beat the heck out of everything else in the box. It's just sad... sitting on the open valves, dropped on the cam gear... *cripes*..

Here's the quick question. Unbolted head. How many foot pounds should it take to rotate the valve train assembly? Will the big dings on the head that go past the gasket cause problems? I'm guessing they will.

*UGH*... nice ship job... Look at all the busted and tweaked crap This box of CRAP, cost me $340 to my door.

The timing belt was wedged between the manifold and head. I think it's crimped.

This next image, the intake was new, unused...

Look for nicks, dings, broken sensors...

wow... wow... damn... what should have been a total hard-on in a box turned out to be a horrible mess. I'm sorry dude. The seller should man up and give your money back. that was his bad, not yours!! Kinda makes you wonder if some of it was already damaged, so he packed it like that to blame the shipping company...

UPS, although nothing to do with them. The box was trashed from the inside out, not the outside in...

Stuff was fine in the auction, but just poorly packed...

Anybody have any specs on what it takes to turn over the cam gear? Or how to tell if that's all bent? Much less all the dings on critical surfaces... *ugh*

I filed a thing with paypal. I guess we'll see what happens.

I could have gotten an entire d16z6 for about $600 and been way further ahead...

eBay,

The guy was all apologetic, and then dropped off the face of the earth... I filed the necessary crapola with paypal..

I still haven't heard from the guy, and he got the WTF letter from paypal and eBay, no reply to me...

Looks like $340 I wasted... Coulda put that toward a nicer turbo...
