help! i chipped my fender off!!
so I was blacking out my headlights and when I removed the headlights I chipped a piece of it off. I super glued it back into place, but when I put the headlights back it doesn't exactly fill the gap!!! Perhaps resealing it didn't cause it to be return to its stock form and so it doesn't 100% fill the gap like before..What can i do in terms of touch up paint, silicone? will rain be an issue? etc etc?

i guess the previous owner changed the fender without telling me. I'm kind of pissed that, it didnt show up on a car fax or anything yet I'm pretty sure that this fender is a replacement since it chipped so easily. Will touch up paint get rid of the gap? I'm worried rain might get in. If i buy a new fender from honda, it will stand out because the paint is so new compared to a the 6 year old car...
body part replacement isnt gonna come upon carfax to tell you the truth most of the time accidents wont come up on it either. its up to the body shop and/or insurance company to report it.in most cases it doesnt get reported.
this is probably exactly what happened. The previous owner probably ran into a pole or something, replaced the fender and light.... my car currently has one OEM headlight and one probably ebay one. If I hadnt taken them apart I wouldn't have noticed...
I think the reason there is a gap like that is because the aftermarket lights didnt reseal as well. So my options are to buy already blacked out lights and hope they'll fill the gap better or leave as is and try to fill the gap up myself..
