Default signs of a bad coil or ignitor?

My car is showing like no RPM's on the tach when sitting at idle at a light. Then sometimes it runs perfect and showing the correct reading. Sometimes ill be sitting at a light and its stuttering and is almost to shut off. Also I have a turbo z6 and Im not making the right power that I am boosting. I think it may be the ignitor or the whole dam dizzy. Also I get shocked from this thing to. I have a ignitor that i am replacing tonight. Just wanted to see if anyone one else has faced this problem.

I had a bad ignition and coil at the same time and the car would shut off on me. When it wouldn't shut off and I accelerated it would back fire like a *****. Needless to say I have long since replaced both.

i had a bad coil.. and my car would just randomly shut off for no reason.. then iot would turn over all day. but never fire.. so if yours is doing that.. ide suggest coil. and as far as the rotor i took some emery paper andlightly sanded it down so it would make better contact.. but then i replaced it with new one

What was the outcome of replacing your ignitor? I am facing similiar problems. My car is hard to start in the mornings, but after that it starts fine the rest of the day. After my car gets to WOT it will bogg out between 1500-3000 rpms and at times backfire. I have done alot of research and have been told mixed opinions. They included replacing the coil, ignitor, and also the TPS. You guys have any thoughts? Its kinda hard just to just go to a parts store because I'm stationed in Germany. One good thing is I can drive as fast as I want on the Autobahn.
