Default TSB: A/T Problems - Not going into 'Drive'

Good day ladies and gentlemen-

I need some advice from some of you Automatic Transmission owners. My car ('04 VP - A/T - 40K Miles) has been great until now (I've owned it for 1 year). I've noticed that sometimes (3 times in the past month) that when I put the car in 'Drive' it doesn't always go into 'Drive' immediately and the 'D' on the dash flashes. It usually takes about 10-15 seconds and then it goes into gear. I've read up on this alittle:

(begin - typed from the Service Bulletin)

Honda TSB (04-036)

Vehicle Does Not Move in Drive; MIL Comes On or D Indicator Blinks With A/T DTC P0730

SYMPTOM:

The vehicle does not move when you select Drive. The MIL comes on ('01-03 models) or the D indicator blinks ('04 models) with A/T DTC P0730 (shift control system) set.

PROBABLE CAUSE:

Excessive wear in the 2nd clutch.

VEHICLES AFFECTED:

2001-03 Civic 2-door with A/T: ALL

2004 Civic 2-door with A/T:

From VIN 1HGEM....4L000001 thru

1HGEM....4L063277

2001-03 4-door DX, EX, LX with A/T: ALL

2004 Civic 4-door DX, EX, LX, VP with A/T:

From VIN 1HGES....4L000001 thru

1HGES....4L024363

From VIN 2HGES....4H500001 thru

2HGES....4H601037

VINs beginning with JHMES: ALL

CORRECTIVE ACTION:

Replace the A/T. Use the Honda Interface Module (HIM) to update the PCM software ('01-03 models only).

etc....etc....etc...

(end - typed from Service Bulletin)

So, I called the dealership service department and asked if they were familiar with any of the problems with the A/T on Civics. He instinctively played dumb until I started mentioning the TSB I pulled up ( I even gave him the number so he could pull it up himself). I told him what I've been experiencing and that my car falls under the VINs listed in the TSB. He said to bring it on in and they will take a look at it. I've scheduled to drop off the car tomorrow after work. This is the newest car I've owned and haven't had to deal with warranties, dealerships, and service guys (I like to do all the maintenance work on my cars). But considering this event "SHOULD" be covered under warranty and the TSB, I'm taking it in.

Has anyone had any success getting this fixed? Did they replace the A/T with a new or used A/T? Did they just rebuild the trans that was in the car? Did they say they fixed something, but it started acting up again? Was everything ($$$$) covered under the warranty or TSB??? Anything else I should know?

Thanks in advance for the assistance!

So I guess no one else has ran into this...

The service tech told me it fell under the Service Bulletin and their ordering a new A/T to be put in and shipping the old one back to Honda. He wasn't very clear on whether it was a new or used A/T, but atleast it is getting fixed under the warranty/TSB.

What mod should I talk to about getting all the TSB's I have posted in the FAQ? I have access to quite a few of them in PDF format...

That would be me. If you wouldn't mind, I'd love to have them in nicely organized thread, that I'll link to in the FAQ's. It would be greatly appreciated.
