My sedan is a piece of crap
So I've had my 07 Si sedan for about five weeks now, and it has 1300 miles on it. I have been thoroughly disappointed with the build quality of the vehicle thus far.
1. Lots of rattling from the sunroof and passenger door. Took the car in under warranty, they fixed the sunroof noise with some of the anti-rattle tape and also lubricated the weather stripping with some conditioner.
The passenger door rattle was apparently some cabling that was banging up against the inside of the door framing, so they fastened it down and added insulation. Today, it is still rattling.
2. New rattle from the center of the dashboard and rear speaker deck. Almost sounds like someone tapping on it when going over bumps for the dashboard, and the rear speaker deck is a creaking noise.
3. Still having a thumping noise from the front passenger side. Dealer replaced what they called a faulty engine mount, and two days later it is making noise again. I assumed it was the strut to begin with, so it will be going back on Wednesday.
I know I'm probably expecting too much from a $20,000 car because it's eventually going to make noises, but at 1300 miles, I expect perfection and nothing less.
The performance and handling of the car is more than I expected, but the build quality is absolutely terrible.

Sorry to hear that. If you think the squeeks and rattles are bad now, wait until it gets cold out, it will get even worse.
My steering wheels makes noise when i turn it. No one knows what it is so the replaced my signal stalk. Still squeeks. I dont even care any more.

I have that same rattle in the sunroof and rattle in the speaker deck.
Had the bad struts and bad bump stop issue as well.
I can say I have been pretty dissapointed with my si coupe as well as the build of it.
The performance is great though.
Hopefully the 08ers have better luck!

Not an option just yet but I won't hesitate.

I get nearly all the same problems you have. I've probably had my car in the shop nearly 20 times now since I bought it in april. I should check to see how many times I need it in the shop in a certain amount of time before I can lemon mine. Between that and my transmission grinding quite often, I'm on the lookout for a new car possibly.

So I took the car in today. The tech and service advisor I talked to are going to replace my bump stops.
They found out from the engineer today that the TSB on the bump stops is now going to be expanded to ALL Civic's.
Let's see if this helps. It goes back on Friday.

its not your bump stops if its making the squeek noise.
That squeek will eventually turn into a groan noise. Wich is a faulty strut.
Went through the EXACT same thing

gee guys! I glad im not the only one. mine still makes that popping sound and it has been in 3 times for that. they replaced the front left and right rear shocks. the valve cover is leaking real bad. the pulleys are making a clicking sound who knows what that is! the weather strip is cracked on drivers side door. rattles from the rear deck and roof liner. they did not know anything about a TSB for the bump stop so they say. for the grinding 3rd it is do to driver error according to them. I love the car but I don't know how long I will keep it with all this ****. should I get a new 08 FA SI. or hold off for a few years until I can get a 335i or M1??

Comptech springs. I traded the evo in due to corroision and burnt wiring harness.

my fa5 rattles like hell down the highway. rattleing from somewhere in the front bumper, inside by the glove box, under the hood there is another( only since installing the K&N Short Ram) , noises from the rear deck lid...
but im use to the noises since my DC2 had poly urethane motor mounts in it...

Mine rattles somewhere in the front bumper on both sides since they installed my HFP kit, and the rear speaker deck sounds like its rattling too. My 3rd gear is slowing starting to get the notch Ive been hearing about. This blows. I want my GSR they stole to come back now!
