Default Polished BBS ra Lip!

Traded these wheels for my si's.
Originally it was black with an unpolished
lip, so I decided to polish my lip and paint my rim
gold. Tell me your opinions. I know the spray painting is
kinda crappy (First time). Just did the spray painting real quick just to see
how the out come will look.

Here are the supplies I used

-120 Grit - 2500 grit Wet/dry sand paper
-Air craft paint stripper
-Duplicolor spray paint.
-Artisan Metal Polish

Pic's

After

Good job
Looks like you didn't use any clear on the paint??

After stripping, did you polish first then mask and paint?
Or paint then polish?
That lip looks so clean!!

The lip is a really great job, a lil'bit more buffing and it will be absolute. Paint is not too bad either. If was worth the try and for a rush job i'm guessing. LOOKS GREAT!! What color is that gold btw? I want to paint my motorcycle wheels that gold. I did the same to my bike with the lip.

Actually I did use clear but mostly it went on the top of the rim,
Kinda hard to get the side's. But im redoing them. So it should turn out really nice the
next time I get to spray paint. I actually stripped-mask the lip-paint-polish.

I'm suprised all that nasty juice from sanding/polishing didn't damage the paint
Maybe it's just the pictures that robs the shine but, try wetsanding 1500-2000 on the gold followed by some buffing would make it flawless
