I have a 98 civic w/ d16y7 and i just recently put on the Y8 intake manifold...Well everything is connected right (vaccuum lines and coolant lines) but im getting a vaccum leak in the driver side corner of the IM where it connects to the head. Ive been told to use the 99 Y8 IM gasket and it should work cause right now i have a 98 Y7 gasket on it and you can def. tell a differance between the 2 gaskets. Ive seen many threads in this but most say they have a 99 Y7 motor and used 99-00 Y8 IM and had to plug the air injection holes. so what im trying to ask is if i use the 99 Y8 gasket will it seal better or do i have to plug the air injection holes as well. PS all bolts are tight and EVERYTHING is connected right.
