Default using a m2u4 ATTS tranny on a jdm h22a

i was just wondering if i could use a m2u4 type SH ATTS tranny on a jdm h22a and just not use the ATTS system and replace it with the intermediate shaft?

is the differential in the m2u4 just like a regular honda diff. ? and can be used without the ATTS system that bolts to the back of the block where the intermediate shaft goes?

or is all this even possible? it looks like the m2u4 will bolt up to the jdm h22a and also the intermediate shaft looks like it will work.

thanks.

It will bolt up but there is no diff in that trans. It is built into the atts unit. I wouldn't waste your time trying to make that work. Also, if you try the other way around, the SH engine block is cast different so it doesn't have the bolt holes in the block for the intermediate shaft of a non SH trans....

That won't work for a more than one reason. The main ones being that there doesn't exist an adapter to mate that combination of engine/trans, and also that the m2u4 diff is different from the other transmissions. It is built to accept the ATTS unit extension tube/shaft. Just use a normal H22 trans..easy to find.
