Default What kind of cable trans for my DA ?

I have a b18c in my DA that is currently running my stock ys1 LS trans with 12lb flywheel/exedy stage1. It was good at first, but now I realize that I can be much faster with a shorter trans rather than upgrading the engine yet. Now my situation is, I don't know which b16 trans to go with. It must be cable first off, and second are all b16 cable trans large spline or what ?

Now there is a shorter geared b16 trans the YS1/S1/J1 which are all nearly the same ratios with a 4.4 final drive which make them EXTREMELY short. Now the second choice is the longer geared b16 trans the Y1 which has the really short b16 gears with a 4.266 final which makes it really short, but not as short as the others. The Y1 is just alittle bit shorter than a GSR.

Try a 92-93 GSR or 92-93 XSi tranny. They are both short geared YS1's.
