Default 1990 Civic won't start

I've been reading "no start" posts but haven't found the answer.
My 1990 Civic died and wouldn't start. It turns over. The main relay clicks and is good. The fuel pump wasn't working and I changed that and it humms away. Now it doesn't have spark. All fuses are good and there is power to the coil. It doesn't throw a code. Any ideas?
Also...I keep reading about a "dizzy". What is a dizzy? Does my car have one?
