2nd AC fan is not going on...
hey, I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has an idea of if what is wrong with my car...89 CRX Si, I recharged my AC with 134a today in my lab, and it was blowing COLD air but when the blower was on HIGH the belt started to squeal loudly... so we evacuated some of the refrigerant and then noticed that the radiator fan on the pass. side wasn't coming on to help relieve some of the head pressure...just wondering if anyone has any ideas OTHER than "Lose the A/C" It's too humid where I live...

The passenger side fan is your main radiator fan-driver's side AC only (have one for sale <G>
. Check the thermoswitch and relays. You can also test the fan unit itself. Squealing noise from belts generally means you either have not set the tension onit correctly or that it needs to be replaced. I am assuming that you did the R134 conversion and that the compressor is not damaged.

yeah I did, I evacuated all R12 and sucked the system down to about 29 inches of Hg(vaccum), and I used 2 oz. of Esster Oil and the correct amount of refrigerant...we have baddass equipment at my school, I was just wondering if there was some reason that only one fan was coming on...
