Default Some detail pics....

My mom's car needed a cleaning, but it didnt need compounding or anything since I'm the one that maintains it so it has no swirls. So I just went with a glaze followed by sealant. Glaze is great for use after polishing for that extra depth to the paint, or for making well maintained paint look nice and wet.

Products:
Wash: Meguiars Hyper Wash, Grout Sponge from HD (THESE ARE THE BEST THINGS TO USE, BETTER THAN LAMBSWOOL MITTS)
Wheels: Meguiars Detail-line Wheel Cleaner, 2 minute dwell time
Engine, wheel wells: Meguiars Detail-line Super Degreaser 8:1 ratio, plastic parts got Meg Detail Line Hyper-Dressing, forgot the ratio. 5:1 I think
Tires: Eagle 1 Tire Shine
Glaze: Meguairs #3 Machine Glaze
Sealant: Meguiars #21 Synthetic Sealant
Pads: LC Black pad for Glaze, 1500RPM via rotary, LD Blue finishing pad via PC

Before (looks fine lol)

Just dirty:

nothing to it really. I just wet it down 1st, then I sprayed Meguiars Super Degreaser (some by the gallon and it dillutable), but Simple Green works great too. I dont use Engine Degreasers as they are petroleum based and leave a very heavy unpleasent smell for a week. I let the product dwell for about 10 minutes. I dont cover up the alternator, battery of distributer (if applicable), I have never never had problems. Then I just wipe down areas that I can get too with a rag, I try to get in every nook and cranny that I can. Then I just rinse it down, and dry off as much as I can. Then I wipe on my dressing which is a water based dressing and isnt very stick or anything. not too shiny, just right.

Thats about it

looks like you do some great work.. might i suggest to make your details really pop.. after your synthetic sealer, use an "exotic" wax on top.. i use Victoria Wax.. its from canada, very high concentration of carnuba.. its roughly $50 for the container.. and after this is gone, i will pony up the money and go for the swissvax concourso.. $225 for the container.. but these waxes will really add some depth to your already mirror glossy finish..

these are a couple of my recent details

my car

clayed, polish: Menzerna PO106FF w/ PC 7424 and mild cutting pad, topped with victoria wax applied by bare hands.

neighbors boss' F150
Clayed, polished with menzerna po106ff with the pc, CCS orange cutting pad, victoria wax

Lexus IS300

if you really wanna see some amazing work.. google Detailers Domain, and a guy named Fminus..
