make sure the wires aren't rusty or whatever, then check the ground that goes to the block

Trunk lamp? Glovebox lamp? Amplifier or alarm that continues to draw power when it should be turned off? Bad brake pedal switch that leaves your brake lights on when the car's parked?

If you disconnect the battery overnight, and it still goes dead, then it HAS to be a bad battery. Even new ones can occasionally be bad.

But if you disconnect the battery & it doesn't go dead, then you know it's something in the car that doesn't know how to turn itself off.

ok heres the thing may the alternator is not sending the battery power......this is how you test it

1. pull out a multimeter
2. put the negative on the negative part of the battery, then put the positive on that alternator where the wire plugs in that head to the battery take the reading
3 put negative to negative of battery and positive to positive of battery

if the readings are different follow the positive lead back to the fuse box, check the battery fuse, and check the wiring tightness

for steps 2 n 3 the car has to be running btw
