Default 14's on SOHC All motor?

heya,
i was just wondering, what kinda mods would it take to run 14's with a stock 1998 EX, SOHC, all motor? i am sure it is a lot, and forced induction would be a cheaper way to get there...but i am just curious as I don't know a lot about All motor performance..

thanks,
mike

All you would need is Higher compression pistons, a good set of rods, a knife edged and balanced crank, injectors, a fully built head, and then the basics like intake, header, exhaust, and an AEM EMS.
And that sould do the trick if not better.
And also a good driver.

you dont even need pistons and rods or crank

head package (cam, springs, etc.
I/H/E
street radials
skunk2 intake manifold
type r tb
and a really good driver or just use i/h/e, street radials, NOS

is this 98 sohc stock motor in a hatch or a coupe

you cant fit B series pistons into D series motors

well you could if you have $$$$$$$ buttt......

get p29 pistons (88-89 integra) pistons... they are quite nicely domed....

Just a thought but, why? With motors being cheaper than a turbo kit and more reliable why not just do a b18c swap?

you can get a gude head package and an ecu that allows for higher revs. combine that with i/h/e, a cluth and some slicks you should be anle to obtain easy 14's

id say better gearing definately... but if thats not an option. ACT 6 puck clutch, some real slicks, I/H/E, bored throttlebody/ported intake manifold, thin headgasket, cam, valvetrain, and some tuning as well as gutting everything you can out of the car im sure thatd be good for 14's

highschooler - Do you by any chance know of an online dealer that sells the gude head package besides Gude themselves? Reason why I ask is because the middle man sometimes has a better price than the manufacturer.

MikeMAN - Good luck on whatever you decide.

max streetable compression is 12:1 on 93 octaine. shave head port and polish new cam lightened flywheel = 14's easy w/ bolt ons
