Default PA System

Does anybody have a PA system installed in their car? I'm looking to get one for my '99 ex. Where is a good place to buy one? Is installation hard? Where do you have it installed? Thanks

a PA system? Id check your local laws before installing one of them; That may be considered impersonation of an emergency vehicle, such as a police car or ambulance.

I second that motion. It might be against the law so definately check local laws. but otherwise it shouldnt be that hard to install

No not everything, but its prob worth checking out in order to avoid getting in trouble. Emergency vehicles use PA systems for traffic directing and other emergency uses. A normal driver using one on the road may be considered a distraction to other drivers. Gotta love the way the law works

X 2 on the depending on what its used for, as long as you dont use it in such a way that an emergency vehicle would, i dont think there would be a problem of having one installed.

On the flip side, if there's a crazy driver cutting you or doing something being an ***, you can let them know what you think of them, and they'll actually hear you. Of course, they might not appreciate that and have a baseball bat or something; but you only live once..

Go to findlaw.com to check out the laws in your area.

Precisely. If I had one though, that's what I'd use it for. I kinda wish I had one the other day when this ******* in an Eclipse didn't want me to get up to 35mph when i was going 25mph in the other lane. He swerved into my lane at the last minute and slammed his brakes on. Then roasted the tires and left me in the dust, I was really pissed off. I came really close to rear-ending him and if I did, I was ready to duke it out with him. 6 foot 4 inches FTW

How bad could my intentions be? You think I'm going to mimic emergency vehicles? I'm 16, but trust me, I do not plan on doing anything that would be considered illegal. It's great to be able to tell somebody off on the freeway, or scare my friends . And besides, no offense, but I don't really think it concerns you what I do with it. I fully understand it is potentially illegal (and probably is) but I worked OT and have some extra cash and want to make my ride as enjoyable as possible. Thanks though, everybody!

Telling people off on the highway IS bad intentions.

Since you are on the public roads and we are too, yes, it does concern us.

So your intentions are just to yell at peopel on the road and to scare your friends? That won't get old fast.

Have you priced any systems out yet? How much are you looking to spend?
