Default Engine smoke...

Hey, i've got a D16Z6 and at higher rpm's, around 5 or 6k it starts to blow out alot of smoke. I was wondering if anybody knew what might be wrong, if not how would i go about finding out whats wrong???

thanks...

ps. Sometimes i can smell exhaust fumes, that might have something to do with it.

if its white smoke there is most likely a gasket that has leak.

If its Black smoke your burning oil, white smoke could be gaskets or piston rings if it happens while you shift... Blue smoke = NOS button is stuck... you determine which it is.
