Im planning on swaping my b16a to an ls_vtec. Im using a ls block an dropping all my b16a inertials in it. I wanted to get some opinions on what you guys think or know bout a ls_vtec crx??? What kind of results am i looking at, 1/4 mile time??
The car will have the ls-vtec swap, intake, 4 puck clutch, type r manifold, and will be tuning it (already have the crome program on my pr3. Thanks for any advise

B16 crank, rods and pistons in LS block? You will make no power that way.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by EG_LS »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Im planning on swaping my b16a to an ls_vtec. B16 crank, rods and pistons in LS block? You will make no power with that. You need to leave LS bottom end together other than maybe swapping pistons and then put VTEC head on top. Search the FAQ in this forum and the All Motor forum.
Also no one can tell you 1/4 mile times to many variables. And if this turn into bench racing then it will be locked.

LS/VTEC isn't reliable, we ran one for two years in Honda Challenge so you have no clue what you are talking about.

I say they aren't reliable 'cuz what is someone doing a ls/vtec for? to go fast...stock ls block and sock vtec head won't last. Yes if you do some work it will be reliable...the ls motor wasn't made to rev high for long periods of time. thus the ls tranny was made for the motor, low revs...i was referring to a completely 100% stock ls/vtec set up. Won't last...block will eventually go. Like i said it's strong as hell, but stock block wont hold for very long. Do some work and you are gold! Good luck on your build!

No, I meant to say it exactly as it came out that is what the comma is for, it creates a statement. So there is a break in the way you read it. Then I proceeded to say, we ran one for two years. So your saying it is not a reliable motor, I am saying it is a good motor we ran one for two years.
So think of it like this
LS/VTEC isn't reliable? We ran one for two year in HC so you have no clue what you are talking about.
