ok well i have a 95 gsr vtec 1.8 in my crx.

i have a num of problems n

1. i can not find a firing order!!!! i have a hanes book aldata and rywirehttp://rywire.com/store/faqdes...6c602 telling me 3 diff. orders. ok well they are not diff firing orders(1,3,4,2) but they area all telling me diff places on the distb. to put wire number one!! which one do i trust!!??!?!

2. i have surging idle after i rev hard is when it is most active. car idles great from start up but once i drive and come to a stop or even just rev the idel gets real rough?

3. when i drive sometimes it feels like a cylnder does not fire. like it feels like im in second gear and 6000 rpms and 35 mph and i take my foot off the gas witht he clutch still engaged . thats the best way i can describe it.

4. i pulled my spark plugs to take a look (thinking i might have a bad plug that is causing prob num 3 on my list above.) well cylnder 1,2 and 3 all look good they are really black tho like im running real rich. but the electrode looks good. now on plug 4 the plug is soo clean liek its not even been in the car. except around the electrode there is a small thick ring around the metal part ! so somethings up i would think all 4 would look the same. i dont even know what to think about that one. any ideas (by the way the plugs only have 1000 miles on them.. my whole engine only hay 1000 miles on it from the time i put it in my crx)

5 i think i should point out that i have a small leak in my head gasket below cylnder 4 . i am going to be replacing that in 2 days. im thinkign thats part of my bad idle


ok well thats the list any help or ideas would be great i have to fig this stuff out and i dono where to start.. well im starting with the head gasket(2 days from now) and i set the timing (using rywires diagram on firing order) to 15. also i just put in a fresh set of ngk vpower plugs today.
