Well im looking of buyin a 2001 lude SH with 38k original miles. The motor has been boosted for the last 13k miles. Its fully built running i think around 12-14 lb boost. Owner says the car has no problems at all and runs fine! Do yall think this car would be fine as a daily driver over next couple years?

Agree with 98vtec, leakdown and compression tests, stat.
Find out who tuned it, see how good of a tune was done.
Seems like it was a built well.

 

well if the car is still running atts that will definetly be a problem with that much power

 

its not any more of a problem than 70pounds of dead weight.

 

That much HP for a DD is insaine IMO. Also remember that, that car will most likly require very high maintence. Its not like any old joe smoe with a shop will be able to fix that.

 

Ive been to the tuning shops website who did the work, they look very legit and supposedly they are highly reputable in New England. 447hp does seem like alot for a daily driver, i planned on lowering the boost down a few ppounds for daily driving.

 

A built boosted h22 "can" be very reliable.
