Default Suspension on DC2

I hate being a nooob and asking for advice but:

Does anyone know what the OEM spring rates are?

I am upgrading my suspension and I really don't have anything to base my decision off.

I want to be lower, not slammed, and will be doing 99% of my driving on Massachusetts roads. I would like something that performs much better than stock.

My budget is about $500-$800, I am considering:

Koni Yellows+lowering springs
Tein basics

Any comments/suggestions would be great!

LS rates would be the same as GS-R, as they use the same springs. I'm not sure how progressive they are though.

The progressive ITR rears range from about 140 lbs-in to 250.

1 kg-mm = 55.99 lbs-in

So 8 kg-mm is approximately 448 lbs-in and 6 kg-mm is approximately 336 lbs-in.

Keep in mind that a progressive rate spring will feel a bit softer overall than a linear rate due to starting at a lower initial rate and then ramping up as it compresses.

Where are you getting these numbers? I've seen those and several other figures, as well.

Also, ITR rear springs are the only OEM springs to have a progressive rate. ITR front springs, and all non-R springs are linear rate.

I've seen other figures as well, but they all seem pretty close (246 for ITR springs, 212 or 217 for GSR, etc.). In addition, I'm not sure what the manufacturing tolerances are for whatever company is manufacturing the springs for Honda, so there could be several different numbers that are all falling within the acceptable range.

Judging by the springs that I currently have in stock, that would be an accurate statement.

I have my stock GS-R rear springs in a box along with ITR front springs... maybe someday I'll rig up a platform to put on top of a spring and load it up with known amounts of weight to see how much it compresses.

I'm going to get PIC apex either P1 or P2. Jim at PIC recommended the P2 for a daily driver GSR, but someone on here said even the P1 would be super stiff. Anyone rocking these coilovers?
