Default Flywheel Cover!?!?

I recently swapped a D16Y8 into my 1990 Civic DX. The engine came out of an automatic vehicle and I retained my factory manual trans. However, I could not get the original flywheel cover to fit. Doesn't seem like it's clearing the oil pan. Any suggestions??? Anyone had this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

It's just thin metal. You can cut/hammer it into a better shape, or buy one for a manual trans.

I had the original one for my manual trans and that doesn't work. Will the flywheel cover for a manual equpied d16y8 work with my older trans?? Anyone know please help.
