Default when i drive i hear a faint scratching noise coming from my rear wheel . what is this??

its not when i brake but just normal driving .. its very faint and i only hear it when im near a wall or something for the sound to bounce off of but i hear it alot.. its like a scraping noise but very quiet..? any ideas.. its the rear left wheel..i just got rear brakes put on like 2 mths ago. it shouldnt b bad already???

There could be something loose in the brakes, if they are drum woudl check, disk cant really be loose or anything. Maybe a rear dust cover if they are disk brakes? Not sure if its an SI or what, so, probably none of these but some suggestions...

yea they are drum brakes.. its not an SI .. its the DX..

I dont know, its probably nothing major, if it bothers you though take it to the place that you had the brakes done at, and have them check it...

Probably brake shoes sticking. check the springs and make sure that they were done correctly. if they're fairly new...give it a few more days to set. Next time you drive and hear that rubbing sound again, try pumping your brakes or slow down using your e-brake, see if the sound will change its tone or completely disappear.

the thing is that when i press the brakes its fine but when im just drivin normal i hear it... ill check the brake springs i guess for starters..

check adjustment and that the drum is seated correct and hasent been put over the edge thing. If put one quickly then itll crush the edges and rub there against the drum. If it did you have to straigten it out
