brain storming
So im new to honda tech.......and well to honda's all together. Last week i picked up a 91 crx si as a daily driver for like 300 bucks. The car runs good and is fun to drive. So im thinkin im gonna invest 2500 dollars more in to it and make it a bit faster. So any suggestions? A few ppl said a b16 swap or a H22 swap...... would these kill the already good gas mileage im gettin out of the car?
thanks for any help or ideas

if you are truely concerned about gas milage you should realize that with more power usualy comes less gas milage. i think i'm down to 28 mpg in my GSR swap.
Maybe a D series will be a happy medium.
so what do you want more, and how much power are you looking for?
what are you D sries guy getting for mileage?

if you get an h22 from an engine importer its going to be more than a $2500 swap. There's the tranny, axles, and mount kit, which would def put you over 2500. Unless you buy everything from an individual seller, might be cheaper, but I still doubt it.
