Noob Question...GSR with aftermarket IM
Sorry but I have to ask this Noob question
Does anyone have a sound clip of a GSR with an aftermarket Intake Manifold?
The reason I am asking is simple, the stock IM has two set of runners; the long and the short aka Double butter flies. Hence the reason why we get a change in pitch at 5800 rpm when the Short Intake Runners (DBL) open up. Now if there is only one set of runners will it sound like a stock IM after 5800 all the time?
I know this is stupid but I honestly couldn't find any information on it and I am curious.

i've heard.. dont take this as the truth, but i've heard that we dont hear the secondaries open up with an aftermarket im since there's only one set of runners (i.e. - blox, etc.)
but vtec changeover is still heard.. so i'm assuming it'll sound like a stock manifold after 5800 rpms.
if anybody can correct me, please do. this is just what i've heard and assumed. i'm curious now too...

there is no cross over for secondaries, if there are no secondaries to cross over
but unless your car is HIGHLY modded, theres no reason whatsoever to remove the stock gsr IM, it was made to keep a good flat torque curve

No kidding dude, it doesn't take the head cashier at Wal-Mart to figure this out!
Maybe it is my fault, as I am having difficulty descriping my question. Does a GSR with an aftermarket IM after Vtec engagement instantly sound like a stock GSR does when the Secondaries are open?
