Default spool up times/profec b

got my profec b today.about how many rpms will this help my spool up time. i cannot get full boost until third gear. i get about 6 or 7 pounds in second. i get low 1.80's 60 ft times already but i hope this can dramatically improve that. i run a manual boost controller now and it wont allow me to boost over 15 pounds no matter what i do.

You don't hit full boost till 3rd gear, that sounds kinda odd. What's your setup?

What kind of MBC did you have? Was it a ball/spring type or just bleed valve? With the Profec or any electronic boost controller, it'll only open up the WG once the desired boost level is reached; this means that your spool up time will increase because all of the excess gases won't be vented until desired boost. With a bleed type MBC, the WG will open gradually and then you'll hit the desired boost. I don't know the exact RPMs with it spooling quicker, but in theory it should spool a lot faster.

If you don't hit full boost until 3rd gear, something might be wrong...Do you not hit full boost with the MBC or EBC? If it doesn't happen with the EBC, you might want to free up your exhaust a little bit more or gut your cats (if you have any)...But please post your set up so we can elaborate a little more.
