Default JDM HID (What to look for)

Hey R Owners,

If you are lucky to have HID's, what should I look for before buy them? I know the basic as in no broken tabs, if they were open, and that's about it, any thing else specific? I did a search but only came up with FS, WTB, etc. Any help is good, since I have non-HID which I'm going to sell after buy some HID ones I have found. Thanks!

sounds like he's looking for the jdm hid front headlights

i would say, make sure that all the clips are there (not cut off), no fuzzy headlights, broken tabs, make sure all the bulbs are there, make sure the ballasts wasnt taken apart

when i picked up my hid, the shop uses a battery and jumper wire to connect the battery to each headlight, what they did was clip one end on the battery and one end on the metal pieces on the headlight harness, there's i think 8 pieces of metal you stick the jumper in there, becareful, you must know which one to use and test. If it is done correctly, the headlights will light up so you know if they work. dont know if they makes sense, just woke up

Look for the door, and let it hit you on the way out.

While on the light subject. I have JDM headlights with after market HID. One of the bulbs or ballast isnt working can I just put in normal bulbs for a temp fix? If so, what size? After market HID is such a pain in the ***.

you would need to have the oem harness with the plug that clips into the 9006 bulb. (low beam) now save up and buy oem hid or s2k retro.
