Door wire passage?
Hey all -
Got a new stereo and speakers with an amp I'm going to be installing. The current setup has wires that come out from under the dash and are visible when the door opens.
How hard is it to run them through the same wrap that the rest of the electrical passes through? (Power windows/locks/etc) I want to hide the wires completely.
Car is a 95 Sol Si.

The only way to do it right is to re-pin the plugs with larger wire. Although you really don't need to. Just tap into the factory wires. You can't just run new wires through the rubber loom as there is a male and female connector on the door.

Will that work running for the crossover of components up front?

i did this in my setup.
there is a loom and plug in the door jam on each side. if you pull apart the harness you will see honda left alot of room for additional wiring if they wanted to pin it. I just drilled tiny holes through there, and then fed the wire through.
my car is an 00 civic ex (power doors and locks wired) so it may be different.

Might be, but probably not enough to matter. I'll take a look. Now I just have to figure out how to get it out and through the fender TO the passthrough.

yes..there are empty slots you can pin for mids...tweets.
You don't have to remove fender. feed the wires from the inside of car.
Tape your wire you wish to feed to a clothes hanger and don't force it through as you don't want to risk tearing the rubber sleeve.
I did this to my car....looks just like factory.
