Blown Fuse - 95 Civic

Blown Fuse - 95 Civic
When I replaced my antenna, I tripped the fuse that runs the instrument lights and taillights. I assume I did something to the wires along the path of the antenna wire. The fuse will blow whenever replaced but I cannot find the wiring issue in the cluster under the dashboard. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue?

I seem to always trip that fuse when hooking up a stereo in a car. Just trace your tracks and look for any wires arching out. Be sure there are absolutely no bare wires.

you have a short to ground somewhere. just go through and trace where you worked and see if you have any broken wires touching ground

Being that the problem just occurred I would check the wires you were horsing around with.

Am I better off just taking it to a shop since I am not familiar with the wiring or is this going to be an expensive repair? The wires in this section of the car are very clustered and difficult to get to.

it will be an expensive repair if you take it some where. i would suggest using a voltage meter if you can not find the wires with the naked eye.
but defiantely trace the path you took to run the antenna. i know looking at all those wires is intmidating, but it should be just the wires on the driver kick panel and under the steering wheel, maybe around the radio as well.
take your time, have a flashlight handy, as well as a pillow.
