PASSWORD JDM front bumper for DA
I just bought a 92-93 front bumper from password jdm for my DA. i wanted to know if someone who bought one from them could tell me what they come with? and could give me a little more info then what it says on PASSWORD JDM. for example is it an XSI Front bumper? does it come with a lip? are the moldings painted on the bumper? do they come in a good condition? i realize these are questions i should ask the seller at password jdm but the guy couldn't tell me anything about it when i asked. i just want to know more or less what condition does it come in, and what accessories..
damn u probable spent hella cash on that huh? and the jdm bumpers r barely different than the usdm ones. 92-93 had color matched side molding
yeah but the jdm is still jdm. i just think of it as an investment plus i am getting ready to paint it. so now is as good a time as any.
sorry but that was a waste of money....and nothing you put into your car is truly an "investment"
the jdm and usdm bumpers are the same, it's the core support that differs ( jdm is extremely lighter than usdm)

then put a site on here to back it up. i looked for a pic of a factory bumper for a 93 -92 and didn't find one. and then when i did it was more for the usdm then the jdm and that is with out the bumper support.
what do you want me to back up? a comparison of the us vs jdm front bumper? a comparison of the us support vs the jdm support?
your question doesn't really matter now though because you already bought a bumper

you are right it is already paid for. but i just want to compare the bumpers and see if they are the same because if you log on to PASSWORD JDM you will see that there is a difference from 90-91 and 92-93 so if you are saying that the 92-93 US and JDM bumpers are the same i just want to see a pic of the US version to compare it, that is what i am saying.

i belive the only difference is that the JDM bumpers have those little antenna's on the front bumper that pop up when you get too close to a curb. i dont know if they ALL have that though, i have seen a few. i doubt you'd be able to make it functional anyway.

curb feelers are optional....not mandatory

then dont all have them. my homie bought a jdm 93 bumper about 2 years ago hoping it had the bumper pole but the only difference is the support.
well i just got that peice of **** front bumper.. the thing is going to cost me just as much in body work to fix it, as it cost to buy it. GRAF-FITI was right on this one do not spend the money for a bumper at password jdm. atleast not on this item. it is, and was a waste of my time and money. i do realize the item was in the"used" catagory but they should've put it in the NEEDS WORK catagory.. BUYER BEWARE.

ALWAYS ask for pics of EXACTLY the product you're buying...PERIOD. This way NO QUESTIONS...

yeah i guess it would require sanding, but dude mine looks like it belonged to someone the got in a accident. not a bad one, but enough to leave paint from another vehicle. i just feel like a SUCKER, i feel like i just bought some fuckerr a brand new bumper. and i got their garbage. i just thought it would be in better shape then what i got it. now 250.00 dollars later, and i still have to put more money into it. Its for my black DA that i am going to repaint black again, but i just wanted it to be as little work as possible. NOW, it is like that saying when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. So i guess ill start squeazing..
almost any used jdm bumper you buy is going to have scuffs and such on it.
If you're painting the car, it's probably not going to be any worse to prep that bumper than prepping the rest of the car.
unless there's a tear or hole or something in the actual bumper, i don't see how it's that big of a deal.
maybe post some pics of the bumper you recieved?
The best way to eliminate all the work that you're talking about is if you would have just bought a new, unpainted usdm 92-93 DA bumper that's pre-primered and ready to go. You can usually get them through any body shop.

now i know that i will definately do that. i can buy one from CERTIFIT for 100.00 dollars w/o the bumper support but now i have that. i might just do that, and just have 2. but thanx for all you guys WHO TOLD ME SO . next time ill ask first then buy later. instead of buy first and ask later.
live and learn...i've got a collection of auto mistakes in the garage that i keep around....just to remind me to be a little patient on the next toy that shows up (like the 1996 shell that just showed up on craigslist for 600 bucks...maybe i can sell a kidney()
