Default moved to this forum-obd1 non resistor box injectors wired into my 90 integra w/ resistor box.

I had this posted in tech forum and had a bunch of views on the subject but no responses. Figured I would try it here where there is more traffic.

To moderators-sorry if this still isnt the right place just thought i would give it a shot.

I bought a 90 integra off some kid. It was a complete hack job but anyways my question is about the injectors that were installed when I bought the car.
This year integra is equipped with a resistor box for the injectors. The injectors that are wired in now are obd1 injectors that do not require a resistor box. I am curious as to what kinda problems this is causing.

Thanks in advance.

Did you confirm that the current injectors are saturated (resistance of 10-15 Ohms)?

i didint. i am going off of the fact that he has obd1 injectors and plugs splice in. i was thinking it could explain the extreme lack of power and bucking sensation below 2k rpms with any more than 30% throttle, rough idle, and..the sudden surge of power at about 4k rpms.

probably the problem.... if you have normal OBD1 240cc injectors in the car which should be 12ohms then the ECU is seeing the injectors as being roughly 20-22 ohm injectors and with that high of an impendance the ECU isnt going to open and close them accurately. For any Honda ECU the impendance of the injectors needs to be around 12 ohms. Go too low and the ECU will more and likely fry from not being able to supply the extra current required.
