Default Drag Manifold / Inline Pro SS Manifold and Turbo Selection

I currently have a Drag Manifold (yeah I know it sucks)

I have a T3 / T4 Garrett 57trim 63 ar turbo, and Im pretty sure this turbo wont work with my manifold without some hardcore cutting. (00 CIVIC SI B15)

My question is, with this turbo what manifold can I use? Friend of mine has a inline pro ss manifold would this work with my current turbo?

Thanks

With the drag manifold you cut the block webbing. For performance, I would go with the Inline pro manifold. Much better wastegate placement and the best log style manifold available in my opinion.

This still does not tell us anything. I am going to assume that you have a 4-bolt outlet on the turbine housing since it does not fit. Change to a 5-bolt turbine housing and I beat you have no problems.

i know this is an old thread, but i was wondering what the differences are between the 4 bolt and 5 bolt turbos that allow or don't allow them to be used with the inline pro SS mani. Pictures would be excellent.

thanks very much

That depends on the manufacture and model of the turbo. For example, a Garret 4bolt GT housing sticks out about 1" further then a non GT housing. Tell use exactly what you have.

The OP turbo in question "t3 t4 57trim 63ar Garrett" should work on both the Drag and Inline manifolds with a bit of block notching. The Drag manifold was meant to have the compressor on the passenger/trans side to allow the use of AC. You should be able to mount it either way with the Inline pro unit but I believed it was originally designed the same way (compressor on passenger side).

Because of the compressor housing is a T04E, you'll have to notch the block anyway. The manifold will be fine. Your turbo choice will help more with the ease. Let me know if you need any garrett turbos with a smaller extrude honed housing to fit better, without the notched block.
