Converting a CA VX into a 49-state VX? (keyword: conversion, mpg, fuel efficiency, 5wire,l1h1)
Has anyone done this? I have a CA vx and am in the process of converting it to a fed 49-state VX to get the lean burn mode.
I already bought a VX 49-state ECU (-P07-A01) and will be buying a L1H1 O2 sensor (expensive $$$$). I think that's all I need.
I have one technical issue: How do you hook up the five wire L1H1 O2 sensor to a CA VX with a 49-state VX ECU? I'm sure I can figure out where most of the wires go, but I'm also sure I'll run into a problemm scratching my head wondering what mystery wire goes where? There are some writeups on wiring up a 4 wire sensor on a Fed VX. I'm going the other way.
Has anyone done this conversion?
Gary
