Theres a sensor called the VSS, vehicle speed sensor. If its broken, VTEC will not engage, ECU thinks you are in nuetral.

bro just STOP right there before i lost my mind...............

you have a 254whp hatch and you think the vss is on the front of the tranny?

the sensor on the bottom front of the tranny is for the reverse sensor

the sensor on the top rear of the tranny, passenger side of the rear t-bracket is the vss sensor. the plug faces straight down.

you can use just about any b or d series vss if im not mistaken.

im not an expert but i did stay at a holiday inn express last night

It's right on top of the passenger side of the tranny. It's black with a plug going into it. Swap it out....Everything will work again.

Like he "input" the whole motor into the car? LOL J/K A Lot of times, the clips on the VSS plug get broken and they will stay on but can wiggle loose. Hope you figure out your problem.
