i drove my car into a huge puddle today it died immediatly i though for sure i just hydrolocked it. after a few minutes of profanity the car started was pretty rough then it just cleared up and is running fine again. so did i just get really lucky my intake is being taken off tommorow.

 

If you thought you hydro locked you motor, you shouldn't have tried to crank it again immediately. You should have removed the spark plugs and unclipped the injectors and the dizzy and cranked it to get the water out.... you might be lucky though.

 

yeah, that **** happened to me one day while i waas driving, but my dumbass started to crank it over while water was still in.. so you might be ok! was it a LS or GS-R? hopefully it was just a LS...

its just a old ls yeah it seems to be fine starts and runs just as it did. gotta get lucky some time i gues.

 

your filter probably just got clogged and kept air from getting in the motor so it died
