Bumper grill was painted, want it back to black; how?
My bumper was painted and me not telling them i didnt want it, they painted the grill red also. What is the best way to get the grill back to black? Paint? iff so what kind if anyone has done this and came out looking nice?
Painter did that to my bumper too. When I was at the shop to pick it up I mentioned to them that the grill isn't suppose to be painted, so they took it back and painted the grill flat black. Got it back the next day and everything was perfect. Just take it back and tell them whats wrong.
I used Painters tape and newspaper to mask the entire bumper and a can of flat black. Came out perfect.
Spray coat
Let the paint 'flash'
repeat as desired
let the paint sit for 10 minutes or so. then slowly and carefully remove the masking material.

Listen...take my word on this....tape it all off, scuff LIGHTLY, then use Krylon BBQ pit and grill paint. The **** lays awesome, self leveling even as hell, and has a beautiful brand new trim look to it. The can has a beige upper portion where it says Krylon and there is a bbq pit on the front of it. The sh*t looks perfect I'm tellin you.
The good thing about grill paint is it'll lay over everything too. Any mild steel exhausts or downpipes I do, I coat in this paint. It stands up to heat, weather, everything. The paint is pretty awesome stuff. Krylon only though. The other brand bbq grill paints I tried are flat and suck, Krylons is awesome!

only problem with all this. I had my bumper re-done on behalf of them painting my bumper. And with daily driving, the rocks and ect. have torn through the black paint and reveled the mistake. So know i got a black and blue front grille. Was wondering if i should just tape off and scape all the paints away.
