ok so i am throwing a stock b20 back into my del sol and i am hooking all the harnesses back up and i get to the distributor... wont fit! the one on the motor is a single connector and the wiring harness has two connectors, one with two big wires and one with like 7 wires i think. so like an idiot i cut the wires at the connectors and just wire them straight together with butt connectors. go to crank it and i have no spark.expletive. so little did i know i had another b series dizzy at my house only an hour away with the right connectors on it! expletive expletive! i got the wiring harness clips from a junk yard out of an accord or somthing with like 4 inches or wire. this SHOULD fix the problem... right?

 

i did the same thing last night i put an obd2 dist. in my 95 civic obd1 my problem was backwards then yours thought i had no spark with the obd1 dist. and the obd2 one with the modified wiring worked perfect...

 

ok i feel better knowing im not the only one thats done this!

 

i think people do it alot when i was calling around looking for an obd1 distibutor they told me too just re wire/re pin the obd2 distributor and it would work.
