thats really up to you, at the least i would cap them off. Dependes on how you want your engine bay to look. Plus at that point it's just dead weight

Why not just remove them?

I just took the AC system out of my 91 CRX and actually removed the whole assembly that is behind the glove box. I beleive it is called the evaporator.

You can see it here all removed:

If you are into it I would just gut it out and seal up the hole in the box where the lines go through the firewall and seal up the hole in the firewall as well.

Shot behind the glovebox :

It is easy enough to get out and would get rid of the lines poking into your engine bay as well as shed a little bit more weight.

This is all the stuff I removed when I tore mine out. I'd say somewhere around 40 pounds of components.

I would just finish what you started and take out the lines. The 2 AC lines are actually a part of the AC evaporator (I think that's what it's called) that is enclosed in a black box.Behind your glove compartment underneath your dash, you'll see a black box held into place by 2 bolts.Once the black box comes out, you can disassemble the box, and remove the AC evaporator. Reassemble the box, and bolt it back up. To keep the moisture out, I used duct tape to cover the holes on the black box where the AC lines once were.

do you have to put the black box back in? Is it apart of the blower/defroster system?

yes you have to put it back in or the fan won't blow air threw the heating system. if you look hard there is a non ac air duct that replaces it. but its cheaper to just sill the black box.
