Question about changing brakes.
Ok, this is kinda a dumb question, but im going to ask anyway.
Car is not a honda, but a 2002 Mitzu galant.(wife's car)
Allthough ive changed brakes many thimes, i have never put much thought into the brake shims that go on the brake pads. Generaly these dont come with new brake pads. Are these esential, and should they be replaced from time to time?
On my honda's, i never really gave a expletive, but this car carries my wife and son, and the brakes need to be working properly so that they are safe.
So, should these shims be replaced, or are they god for a lifetime?
