Default for those of you who had the squeaky clutch problem.

I took my car to acura, and they test drove it but didn'tt find the problem but I forgot to tell them that it only occurs when I down shift while racing.... so teh tech says it's prolly the throw out bearing so if it's that then it's free but if it's the clutch plate then it's 1200 for a new one... damn acura markup... but if the clutch plate itself was wore dowbn woudln;t u feel it slip sometimes... I never feel it slip jsut the peddle after racing

Hey BlueR did he really say $1200.00???

You should stay away from that dealer, they are ripping you off.
Have you shopped for a clutch kit?
If not try http://www.clutchcityonline.com I have the complete kit for $389.50 shipped to my door in two days... and it works great too

Good luck in getting a clutch for your car.
Also try a search for clutches on here, lots of info...

well the thing is.. people have said it's the throwout bearing.. which is free cus it's a defect...but the plate isn;t free cus thas wear.. but either way they gotta take the tranny out.. if it's the plate I'll prolyl keep it.. and get a diff one from somewhere else

creaking = throwout / input shaft bearing. could be the i.s.b. "grinding" if you will on the input shaft due to lack of grease.

sounds sick doesn't it?

Are you sure it's not the pedal mechanism? They are known to squeak from time to time...
